2G Misfire CEL

ok i was practicing brake boosting on the highway when all of the sudden the rev gauge the niddle started spining clockwise all of the sudden and it started to run ruf and it trew a check engine light
so i got home and hooked up the scan tool and a misfire code came up ?
what could of caused it
and what causes a misfire ?

wait! im sorry for going off track here but you were practicing brake boosting? whats there to practice?
foot on brake and foot on gas then let go of brake.......whats there to practice?

i see you have a A/F gauge. is it a wideband or a crappy narrow pray: i hope not). if you do have a wideband see what your A/F is. if its off it could be due to a fuel issue. also is there any way you could get maybe a friend who has a logging device and get a log of what your car is doing?

A misfire is most commonly caused by a spark issue such as a bad spark plug or plug wires. Change your plugs and wires if you haven't done so lately. I change mine once per year.

could the misfire be caused by the battery cause my battery dosent have the braking and i was thinking could the battery moved and cause an arch causing my rpm gauge to spind around all crazy and the misfire ?

but i have another question for some reason my car stayed on while on gear without pressing the clutch
it has a brand excedy 3 puck clutch and recently changed the master and slave cylinder
what could cause that ?

could hte clutch have some grease and cause that to happen
