ok hope im hoping im posting this in the right place

Problem: Car pulls fine in 2nd then when i switch to third around 5000 rpms its pop like backfire or misfire and if i stayin it it will pull through and keep pullin switch into fourth and it keeps pullin with no misfire runs smooth

Solutions replaced spark plugs from bpr7es to 6es and the first pull i did with new plugs it didnt misfire but on the second one it did pulled plugs and they are fine i have used both .28 and .32 and does it at both gaps

Solution- do you think that its times for new wires and coil pack?

and my wide band is reading anywhere from 10.8 to 11.0 through the whole pull and like i said after the misfire or back fire it keeps pullin hard with no problems or misfire

it did not do this before i put on my ams manfold with o2 external dumb and 3 inch down pipe tryin to not just throw money at it so any ideas would be helpful does this sound like wires or ignigiton coils to anybody else

boost is where is was at before and no problems but i will try it and see what it does could be reading to much air flow so i will try

you guys were right turned boost down and fixed the problem just confusing how i was runnning the same amount of boost with my stick mandifold 02 housing and downpipe and this didnt happen anyone know a reasoning for this?

I think your on to something here in regards to the issue im having. I was runing my car at 12lbs of boost on a stock motor.after I installed my front mount intercooler the very next day my car started having the same problem yours is having and haven't been able to figure it out.im going to drop the the boost today.

I believe with the manifold, o2 external dump, and 3" down pipe it added more efficient airflow for the boost. Going from stock to the mods you installed is a significant difference. The stock manifold ect, has much smaller port holes than the mods you put in car. Thus creating more airflow which requires more fuel to run the car.

Same with your intercooler.

ok so turned my boost down and its fine just confused on how i can be hitting fuel cut at like 12 13 pounds with a 255 wlbro waiting on dsm link but i still here all these guys with stock setups pushing like 15 with no problem

If not a mecanical issue like boost leak or bad plugs, then most all your problems of modification to your car can be done with safc or ecmlink.:thumb:

thanks ill check for boost leak and i jsut put new plugs in and tried both .28 and .32 gaps problem didnt go away until boost was turned down i know my fmic is completely screwed so ill do a pressure test and see if its leaking

alright so what im noticing now is that im pretty sure im spikin booost becasue when i get on it boost gauge will at first shoot up to 15 but then go down and hold like 12lbs so i think when im turning the boost up tryin to hold like 14 15 it spikes up to like 18 pounds and i hit fuel cut but if i stay on it it will go back down to like 15 and and will purd hard no problems

let me rephrase that LOL im sure that the is just wear on the turbo, or maybe something to do with just over pushing the 14b but ill see what happens when i get bigger injectors dsmlink and replace my frount mount core
