is 100 thousand miles really bad on dsm's. I found a 98 GST and the only downside to the car is the mileage, it has 101xxx. Any advice would be much appreciated.

If it still runs strong and is in good condition at the right price I, personally, would take it.There are many DSMs past 150,000 miles on here, and are still running strong.Just take care of her :thumb:

i would try to find one with low miles but if u couldnt and wanted this one jsut do a compression test on it make sure the engine is still good!

Mine's at 109xxx and still pull hard and running well. Take care of it and it will take care of you. Make sure the previous owner(s) did the proper maintenance.

I have 103k on my 90 AWD talon and runs like new and still pulls hard.
I found out that the stock 14b turbo was using oil along with the head valve guides and seals. I am in the process of having the head stage 2 worked and a BR B16g ported and clipped I just bought to replace the tired 14b but it made me proud. Should be back together in about a month and boosting 15 psi on the stock side mount.
These engines can take lots of abuse as long as you have the supporting mods for everything to work together. I know guys running 50 tims with 20 psi on the street and running 11.50s at the track with over 100k on the short block OMG . Its very common :thumb:
