Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knew if I could use Deutsch pins in a Souriau connector. I know that the two will connect with each other, as they are the same mil-spec # (DT-38999), but I'm unsure if the souriau connectors will accept a Deutsch pin internally.
I ask because I have access to free Souriau connectors, but I need to buy a crimping tool and pins. The Deutsch pins are half the cost of the Souriau, and the crimping tool is $200 (Deutsch) or $900 (Souriau). So basically, if the pins are interchangeable, I can save money on the parts I buy, as well as getting the connectors for free.
I also don't feel like I would be "cheaping out" on the Deutsch stuff, because that is pretty much the standard.
