What is the proper way to install a mbc on a mhi turbo? Currently have it T'ed off with the bov, but heard that could cause issues unless, it is a recommended way and shouldnt really worry about anything.

Rule of thumb, is that most DSMers dont T anything in the engine bay. Most vacuum/boost related components get there own source, separate boost source for wastegate and separate vacuum source for BOV and FPR etc.

If you need to clean up your vacuum/boost lines, this could help:

note: the diagrams show a T in the vacuum system, like I said above, its not recommended.

Best way is to have your pressure source either off of the compressor housing or install a nipple onto the j-pipe if you have 1. That end will hook into the inlet side of the MBC and the outlet side of the MBC will go straight to the wastegate.

As stated, do not tee into other lines. I would say it's "ok" temporally but do not keep it for long on the BOV. Most MBC have a bleed hole on them so all pressure going to it is leaking out which would give an incorrect reading to the BOV and mess up it's accuracy.

Super thanks, I will remove the T from bov line and probably do the nipple on the j pipe. I'll blow to many 14b's to waste time with putting one on the compressor housing :p
