MHI shaft interchangeable?

I am doing a 14b swap into my 95 tsi and snapped the shaft during the rebuild (I messed up on the torque specs badly.) So my question is: Is the shaft in a 14b interchangeable with other td05h shafts? 16g parts seem to be much easier to find than 14b parts. Do the exhaust turbines need swapped or would it be a quick remove and replace?

A 14b shaft is a tdo5h shaft. Theres also a tdo5 shaft thats smaller than the tdo5h shaft by about 2mm. The only thing that changed in the turbos labeled tdo5h were the compressor wheels. For the price you may as well buy another 14b thats good, unless you just want to rebuild your turbo.

All TD05H turbines are interchangeable with the exception of those used in the knockoff Chinese TD05H turbos found on eBay.

Alright thanks for all the info. Im basically just gonna go with whatever I can find cheapest, whether its a crap turbo or just a td05h shaft. Thanks again for all the info it will be very helpful in my search for parts
