Very nice videos Andy. I especially like you adjusting the rear view mirror going down the track LOL Glad to see DSMs chasing down those big bad V8's man. Great job :thumb:

Makes me ready to get back out there on the track :(

Nice Andy. Thats some good track time there. Was there any reason other than the obvious why they had the cones setup in that one particular turn? Interesting, I had never seen a track day incorporate cones on the track during an HPDE.

Yes, they set those cones up to slow down cars because if you went of course there, you would sink into 2-3 feet of pure mud and would take over an hour to get a car out. They did some work on that corner and it was all mud still.

I did about a 2min 42sec lap time and thats with those added cones. (according to the in-car video)

Yeah, I can understand that. I had just never seen it before was all. Videos still look good though Andy.

Great video, makes me realize how much I miss Greg's weekly postings.

Maybe someday if i get some sponsors and can race every weekend, maybe then i can compete at the level greg did. To do this hobby every weekend, and to compete at the level he did, you either have to have money falling out your arsss, or be sponsored. This weekend for the one day even cost my around $800 total.

Where was SlowOldPoop this weekend, he said he was going to be there!?!?!

I don't think the Iowan Cartel made it, probably read the weather reports. They missed a show. We were laughing at the way you were hanging with those Cobra's. Pretty sure at least some of them have been there before.

We timed you at about 2:46/2:45-ish, following them FWIW.

Your slides on turn 5 were priceless. The corner worker even got on the radio after one of them. ROFL

Oh yeah, it was cool meeting you Andy, now change your Avitar.

I loved turn 5!! I loved to come in to the turn fast and brake hard, jerk the wheel to the left and kick the back end out and slide. It was more fun on my street rubber as i would slide a bit more.

I'll get on my avitar too.

I thought I posted Thursday before the event, but I don't see it now. The 'Iowa Cartel' elected not to come. We had no one racing and the forecast looked terrible. We decided to save some money and use the time for working on the cars. We do plan to attend the NASA event Aug 1-3, so we won't miss out on Road America for a full year. Kudos to you guys that still went and competed in the poor weather.

Saturday was rain/snow, however on sunday it was great. was in the mid 40's with sunshine even.

Maybe I'll see ya there later this year. Do you "Iowa Cartel" group plan to attend other open lapping days at other tracks?

We plan to run some NASA events and some MAM trackdays. I'll make sure and post when we do. :)

I will accept a ride next time, Andy. I will want a heads up if you plan on any more "Scandanavian Flicks" however.

Can't wait to get back out there myself.

Jason, I didn't see you there. Was I oblivious? I see you found Ramone's car.

The pics are from mfba site. theres like 4 pags of pictures plus saturdays wonderful weather

bit the bullet and purchased some pics. $25 per pic for full res or $12 for a 1megapixel pictures. DANG!!! But I have a friend that owns a sign shop and he is going to make me a LARGE print so its worth it.
