so why are these strut bars so cheap and different from others? their aluminum? i try to understand the whole concept of how these things even work but why do they all attach different? like some go all the way around and some only bolt like 2 times? sorry if its a newbie question :p

They are just a cheaper brand. They work, but probably aren't as effective as a higher end brand would be. I have a cheap set in the Talon as well. They work for me just fine.

Thats the rear one. There are only 2 bolts holding the rear strut to the strut tower. It is not needed for it to go all the way around the strut tower. It also makes a bit easier to install and remove.

If you want a good one, check out the DC Sport bars. The real ones being the solid design that does not have an adjustment point. The rear bar is a dual bar design while the front bar is single for the turbo model and dual bar for the NT model due to battery placement.

so in 1g's, the back strut is the same but the front would be different depending on battery placement?

I don't know why people even use these. It has been proven that slow in fast out of a turn is the best way to race. The idea of having something that increases entry speed and lowers exit speed makes no sense to me. I guess if you really loved bombing turns or something it could possibly be helpful but honestly, I think most people are to much of ####ies to make them useful.

The gt spec rear stress/ cage looks like the only thing that would really make a difference out of all strut bars and it's like 350 bucks!

if your hating on strut bars, then would upgrading my sway bars be better? im just looking for cheap aftermarket parts, not handling in particular. but strut bars are cheap so why not? im only 16 with no job

strut bars do work, but only work best if paired together.for instence if you get a front bar you should get the rear as well.also sway bars help alot.if you plan on going to the track alot, these will not do much for you,but if you plan on taking it to the streets hard, then you will need them.suspension plays a big role in how your car performs on the tarmac, without suspension you are limited to how fast you can go in and come out of the hole.after you get your suspension dialed in,get a good feel for your car and have fun.....

whats the price range on sway bars? im gonna sell this car in the near near future so im just gonna take the strut bars off when i sell it and move one to my next 1g. so you guys think i should just buy some struts temporarily and get sway bars or would those be a b*tch to install and what not. idk how sway bars mount

alright cool. well is it easy to tell stock sway bars from aftermarket? im gonna try to buy a turbo awd car running or not and i would want to know if i would have to replace or not.

all i plan on doing with all my cars is to just smash around on the streets and back roads. dont care for 1/4 mile speed but of course i still want to take people on in a straight away you know?

any strut bar that is not of a solid design is a POS. save your money.
