megan racing strut bar confusion

A friend of mine just installed the front and rear Megan Racing strut bars for his 1g Eclipse. As far as I know, he hasn't had any problems.

Being the cheap a$$, beer budget type person I am I bought the front and rear strut bars from megan racing and I was very pleased with them, they offer them for 2g's but I don't think there website is up to date.

Do they seem pretty strong? I bought a cheap ebay front strut bar over a year ago and it is merely looks. It has alot of flex in it and is not very stiff.

if you think about how a strut bar works, having flex isnt really a bad thing. what would be a bad thing is if it wasnt a very strong material and it ripped in half. i mean, in theory you could use a peice of steel cable as a strut bar.

In the engine bay, its a regular steel i got for cheap.
The one in the trunk is the megan one. I thought I was getting front and rear when i was bigging on the megan bar... i was wrong  I realized when there was about 1 hour left of the auction. But it does look good.

Thats what i thought at first, but after i installed it, i saw the improvement. Like swirving right to left, u can feel its tigher in the handling.

Just a forewarning. I ordered the Megan 3 bar set from ebstores and none of them fit. I have come to the conclusion that I had recieved the 1g version. Here are my pics:

I emailed the seller back to try to get things straightened out. Hopefully it wa sjust a mix up because non of mine fit. I havent tried the rear lower tie bar yet but I am just guessing it doesnt fit as well.

The back part of the strut is different than mine. Mine is straigh unlike yours which is bent on the ends. What is the short ones for?
