McPhearson struts?

Is the stock suspension called a McPhearson strut? If so, is it front and back or what? I found an air bag kit for McPhearson struts for $515+$40S&H, which I would buy in a second. Thanks

The from of a 1g dsm is a macpherson strut (a lateraly loaded member)
while the rear is a shock (non lateraly loaded)

The front of a 2g is a shock as it has a upper and lower control arms and a upright that deals with the lateral loading.....
