Dates/Times/Prices

When: Saturday May 20th
Where:Full Function Technology in Union City
Time:show up at 11am first come first serve for dyno ten cars will be dynoed
Prices: As stated before this will be a sliding scale pricing based on whp the prices go as follows

Under 200whp = 80$
201-250whp = 60$
251-300 = 50
301-350 = 40$
351-375 = 30$
376+ = FREE


There might be food there, we have not decided yet but if there is it will be fairly cheap(hotdogs/hambergers and soda)

Alright everybody I have been talking to Sean about this alot and we are working on setting this up. It will be a DSM ONLY dyno day, the big all cars welcome dyno day will be in late summer. Of course eveyone is welcome to invite friends with other cars but this will be a dsm only participation event(no damn arguing that's just the way it is). Anyway we have decided it would be fun to make this a dyno challenge. The details are not nailed down yet but we have some good plans. Expect it to be mid-late may so get your car in good running order you understand! Here are some things to expect.

-Only a limited number of cars will be dynoing(seems like 10 will be the number so far) It will be a first pay first serve basis, again sorry no exceptions.
-Fees will vary depending on power level(i.e.: 100-200hp = x dollars, 201-250hp = less dollars and so forth, anyone breaking a certain amount of power which still hasn't been decided will get their money back).
-There will be food(soda and hotdog/hamberger) for sale. It will be cheap so don't worry.
-Any mods to get to yoru power level allowed. We don't care if you shoot a 500000hp shot of nitrous its your car make it happen.

I think this will be alot of fun and encourage you guys to get your cars runnign properly and actually mod them. All the shop cars will be there(me, kamil, raul, sean, ron, etc...). Hope to see you all there.

time to put the 14b to the test, shove it mr 50 trim, Im shooting for 250 whp at 20psi, since I dont have the option to turn the boost down it appears. I even cut down the length of my mbc spring to see if that was causing it, because I think I remember it running 10 before I put the mbc in there, but it didn't work, and so I was probably just going easy on it and seeing 10. either way, I don't care once I get something to compensate for my way advanced timing. btw, my car has been running for a while now. almost 2 months I think, thats like,... a world record, right?

so maybe I won't win, I could talk to you guys about my tune and stuff, how many runs will we get? and about how much is sean thinking to charge me (aka how much is the starting price for the lowest hp car, )

Can I bring a leaf blower to make my car "spool" faster? ... We've all seen the video of those guys spraying nos into a leaf blower blowing into a civic, that added like what, 20 hp from a 50 shot of nos and a blower .

late may I should have something changed, weather it be rims/tires, suspension, dsmlink+injectors, or aem. If It is aem, maybe Ill buy a boost pressure sensor (of any type) and an intake air temp sensor and go speed density. you think they wouldn't mind helping me find the ve of my engine over the 3d maps? I do have a wideband o2 sensor that works now, finally. Im sure they would probably want to get on with this event though, so I won't be pissed if I get denied. Exactly what I've been looking for, an excuse to have bragging rights on paper. (hey, even if it is 250 whp, for a high school student, thats a lot. Im a junior too, I've got another year)

, I withdrew a lot of money a few months ago and It wasn't showing up on my statements. needless to say, I've got a lot less money than I thought I did. We just have to hope this part out goes well and someone buys the damn suspension. We have someone lined up for the tranny and stuff, so Ill get a little money from that, but this suspension and block are really going to bring in the big $$$ (there are three of us, so all money is split three ways. except that dollar I charged sean for the door sensor thingy and cover for the screw on the door or whatever. basically just some plastic and a button.) btw zach, you can tell sean I found those two gray things that go by the steering wheel. the covers for two of the four screws that hold the lower dash cover on. I think he should know what Im talking about. I put them in my money holder flip up thing. kinda ironic as thats another part he wanted to buy from us, but ours was broken. .

but isnt an awd swap kinda pricy? new tranny, xcase, driveshaft, rear diff, four axels, gas tank, and suspension? you can use your fwd suspension, but it will carry poorly.

I remember reading somewhere that the frame is also a problem, and that the swap was really hard. then again there are such things as awd spyders now adays, so it can't be that hard.

eh you just buy a crashed or blown engine awd 2g and swap everything over. I can sell my tranny for enough to fund it and I can do the swap myself or have sean/help sean do it for me. Its really not all that hard as people think it is. Just unbolt the old stuff, cut four holes int he trunk for the rear subframe bolts. put longer bolts in said holes and bolt everything back up and walla! you can now do awd donuts. We did it to kamils car about a year ago it wasn't so much hard as it was tedious.

Just don't stand anywhere within 6feet of his muffler, his car loves to shoot flames. Haha my buddy almost lost his eyebrows during one of rons dyno sessions.

Yeah she's got a leather interior and having just dropped 180 bucks on detailing supplies, and about 6 hours she looks pretty clean now. Still need to finish cleaning up the interior though. She's been pretty well maintained, and garaged most of her life.

dang, iw as just down in union city on friday at pick n pull to get a window. if i know you guys were there i would have stopped by and asked about what you guys carry and everything. maybe ill stop by when im tuning the new setup to ask some advise and such.
