I'll be there at 9 or so, anyone know how I can retard ignition timing with just the maft and the stock ecu? I want to get dsmlink, but I don't think they could turn it around that fast. 10 days shipping (there and back) with like a 3 day turn around say and 7 days for the paypal money to clear (aka an extra 2 since it will be in the mail for 5 of those 7 days) thats 15 days right there. Its the 4th, so I would get it back on the 19th probably, and have 1 day to get a laptop to use with it. LOL YEA RIGHT

just a thought, but why dont you try just retarding the ignition timing with the cas? just get a timing gun and reset the timing to where you want it. probly wont be the most effective way of doing what you want but it should work.

because retarding ignition timing 5+degrees with the cas makes for a very shitty idle and fuel economy. Ill probably end up doing that for the dyno day, but Ill have to set it back to 5 degrees base before I leave.

name a part of our cars that doesn't require a 12mm wrench to get out or get to....theres a reason I have like 5 12mm sockets and 2 12mm comb wrenches

i think you could get dsmlink in a week. i mean...they turnaround the ecu within a day if you need to get it socketed. so overnight the ecu, and have them ground ship it back...you should have it back in 5-6 business days. plus paypal is immediate...so voila

Once you get DSMlink, if you also get a boost sensor and tune via boost levels. It is a fairly close tune and should be a decent base to begin fine tuning from, not to mention it's very quick to do.

I did mine in an afternoon and the car was pulling hard. That was until spring break and the turbo ate itself inside out. Now it's back to the t-25 until a rebuild is in the finances.

So moral to the story if you get DSMlink, get a boost sensor or I hear a WBO2 is a decent way but what I have read, individuals that have both start with the boost sensor.

This is only 2 weeks away. Is it possible to change the title to one that has the date of the event. And have this as a sticky? Ive noticed other forums that do this for big meets coming up get a better outcome because it is easily seen instead of fading down in the other threads.

Anyways we should get a head count, I'll be there.

I would if I could but its too late to edit that post. i will pm a mod and ask them to change it though. I will also be postin git in the event calander. But yes, lets get a head count going. Post up if you are going to dyno as well.

1.) zach(98eclipseRS) no dyno
2.)Eugene(redturboeclipse) ??

i cant go unless somebody decides they feel like giving me a ride there. otherwise im stuck on the sidelines til i get my 16g

Hurray! I finally am gonna get to dyno my car!!! :rocks: :rocks:

Well, I am kinda new here so I will be a new face but I am greatly looking forward to this event. I am completely new to the whole dyno thing too. I have just been acking for a dyno meet somewhere close by. Just a quick question, would it be unwise to dyno my car if I'm getting 30+ counts of knock at 15 psi? I plan on dynoing either way I'm just wondering If I should be saving for the 5 gallons of race gas.

Count me in as 4) Justin I don't think I'll dyno as I'm bone stock right now. That and I can't afford having my car explode at the moment.

I was supposed to be in socal getting rid of my car but people are ####nig ### ass queers that flake on people and then don't even have the goddamn common curtesy to call you up and say hey the trades off. Alright, with that out of the way ya I got way to drunk on friday night to do anything satruday so I sat around pretty much.

Im going and I'll dyno too, sivad87, if you want I can take you. Concord isn't far at all from me.

5) Brian (tstkl) dyno for sure

change of plans for me possibly. i have the money in hand right now for a evo 3 16g. depending on how fast SBR can ship it out i could have it early next week. so if all goes according to plan i should be able to get the car there.

if not ill bum a ride off testicle :p

also anyone local have first hand experience with installing a 16g? i just need to know if it is exactly a bolt on. or otherwise its exactly like putting a 14b back on (but a 16g LOL) if it is then ill be rockin the new turbo soon.

Bolts right on. Same as installing your 14B.

ok i just wanted to be super sure before i droped the coin for something like this and not have everything i need.

Alright guys we are looking like we are going to have some problems, at the moment it appears that we have about 7 guys comming and 1 confirmed dyno and 1 maybe dyno. If I can't get enough people to fill more dyno spots then I am going to have to concel the meet. So I need to know if its going down or not.
