Master Performance Engine Rebuild Kit

Anyone have this kit?http://www.howellautomotive.com/How...ct_info.php?cPath=142_38_174&products_id=1439 My #4 cylinder ring wore out and i am looking to rebuild it all. Also the bottom end kit from Howell looks great but i have been looking at exile http://catalog.exileracing.com/product_info.php?products_id=525 because they have a compression ratio of 8.8.1 better than 8.6.1 or i can custom order 9.0.1 and i know i can not run alot of boost on 9.0.1. Anyways exile also has Venolia pistons anyone heard any thing bad about them. They have been around for awhile also i get $40 credit if i get them. I am not sure what i need but i would like to rebuild the top and bottom.

don't deal with howell... they're not good IMO. I got all my internals from Modernperformance.com... and I couldn't be happier with them. Best prices and best service. Are you turbo or going to be? If not, then you don't want lower than 9.6:1 compression pistons. You'll just be losing power. If your staying N/T, get a set of 10.5:1 compression pistons. You'll be happy with those.

Only an answer to part of your question but, Venolia pistons is on of the best on the market. You dont hear much about them in the dsm world because they cater more to big ci, big hp applications. They have been around for a long time and have been making quality products since they have been in business.

And to clarify the big hp part, They do alot of 1k+hp applications. I dont want to hear "Ive got 600 hp and they dont have anything off the shelf for me"

Thank you for your reply. I am looking towards the exile kit, I might get the Venolia cause of the 40 dollar credit and i'll get 9.3.1 ratio. I do not want to get any thing lower than 9 cause of the lose in power i had a great time at 9.6.1 with 10psi would maybe get that ratio.
