Could you guys tell me a little more about this meeting. I am really new to DSM's and would love to meet some other DSMers around here. All my friends are Honda guys :thumbdown Now I just need to get my damn car to idle properly.

Welcome to the NW. I am not sure about this one but we usually just get together and look at cars, talk about cars, in this case there will probably be people doing the test and tune (there will be others like me watching and daydreaming about my car running), usually just hang out and try to have a good time.

ya usually a test and tune day is where you pay to get into pir and basically do runs on the drag strip and tune your car.. so im sure there are going to be some other stick cars there too. 7-8sec v8's and such.. looks fun

Never seen a 7 or 8 or 9 for that mater...

too many rules so anyone who CAN run 9's doesnt because they dont have the licenses to do it...

JR's 300zx with the v8 and t-88 turbo can run 9's and has done it before, but he got kicked off after 1 run...


if you want to meet ppl its a great place to go... but alot of honduh trash there usually running 17's and being like, ohhh biznatch!

Hey I got a question, I know they have not let people run with their laptops in the passenger seat... My question is are they going to let people log runs with a laptop so you can tune? I can't find anything about it on PIR's website. I am thinking I will be there, have just put in my DSMLink and I am ready to play.

ok so the big day is commin up.. here are the details i just got off the phone w/ the pir office so lets get a list goin, they said its a test and tune day only. a ton of stock, and pro stock nw guys are out tuneing their cars and haveing fun so if you plan on comming and raceing then its not like a head up or anything..

cost is 20 bucks for unlimited pass's

its march 11th from 4-10pm

I might show up down there with my 2GNT, only problem I'm having is at the rpms I'll be pulling down that track, I'll sound like a damn honduh because of the retarded exhaust that the previous owner installed... get this... he installed a universal magnaflow muffler, but it has a 5Zigen tip... WTF? And it isn't even cat-back... sounds good at low rpms, but if I'm going down that track at 6000 rpms, I'll sound horrible... I don't want that... :thumbdown We'll see I guess...

I think my Subie will hit 14's if I drag it... if I can't run the course earlier that day...


plus i don't want to buy another # for PIR dragging because im moving soon. Dammit!

umm i didnt plan on doing the road course. just the drags, they start at 4pm and end at 10

and the cost is a flat 20 bucks. since its not sponsered by pir there is no need for a pir #...

so, its a flat 20 bucks and it is going to kick some ass. ill be up there at 5:00pm i guess a lot of pro stock guys come out and tune ect... so if your not gonna run itll still be a blast just to go and cause a ruckus. see some of the v8 guys droppin jaw at our 4banger run.

Last summer there really wasnt that much Honda trash that would show up. I saw alot more domestic stuff than anything else at the late night drags. Import challenge at woodburn is another story however.
