Map EF1 turbo's are sick, I also have a EF1 on my car and ran 11.45@119 without cams.

Only mods to longblock are headstuds and BSEK.
If not pretty much, E85, injectors, 255, ETS FMIC, exhaust and intake pipe. oh and DSMlink of course.

Thanks to MAP for creating this turbo. i know if I would of had it in my 5 spd. car I could of trapped 125+ with ease.
 
This would be an EF1 upgrade to his 16g. It utilizes are 69x Compressor wheel which is about 47lb/min wheel and stock turbine wheel.

Kind of reminds me of the old school "Frank" style turbos. The EF1 is pretty comparable to a old green using a TD05H turbine wheel.

Does the car build boost quickly on the line ? Are the cams zeroed out or adjusted ?

Stock cam gears so strait up.

It is an auto car so does it build boost fast? Yes if things are cold. NO if they are hot. This is my torque converters issue though. There will be a custom stall in it next year to get it out of the hole. If I'm rolling I see my set boost of 29 at about 3600 probably a bit less on a manual car.

Honestly these are fabulous upgrades for those already trapping mid to high teens with their 16gs or higher. (5 spd)

What if your trapping 122 on a evo 16g on just gas?

I'd be interested to see how much more potential this turbo has over an evo 3 turbo.

I would think this would be a 125+ car with a five speed. The auto really takes it out of it on the big end.

Probably closer to 124-125. There's about a 15% loss through an auto. There guys making this same power on the evo 3 with e85. Would be nice to see this turbo with more tune and track time.

I can't really comment on using gas, no need for us to run it in MN there is so much E85 all over the place.

Right the same power for a short period of time. Like I said the great thing about this set up is 16G spool and holding power to more than 6000rpm. That was the down fall with the 16g in stock form.

I wouldn't think 450 is out of the question with this turbo on a decent set up.
 
Could I also get a little more information on this upgrade as well. I'm looking to uprade !!
Turn round time and how much it would cost.
