Yes, you have an early 91. Just like some 90's were manufactured in 89.

The model year doesn't always correspond to the year of manufacture. It explains why I have a 2G (1995-1999) that was manufactured in 1994.

The plant in Normal would switch production from one year to the next during June typically.

In general, the Model Year production starts between July and September for *all* auto mfgs. There are a few exceptions but the above is the norm by far.

Correct, mine is a 98 that was manufactured in Aug 97, went into service Nov 97 when I bought it with 9 miles on the odometer.
