Im in the market for a MBC. Are there any sugestions to which one would offer good performance and not blow up my motor. Iv heard bD THINGS ABOUT SOME OF THE BRAnds having inaccurate boost settings. If you know of one that is accuate let me know.

I think all the "Manuel" Boost Controllers got deported back to Mexico (I'm mexican so don't get offended because I'm not).Seriously though, the Hallman Pro is the MBC of choice. It even offers in car adjustability.

Hallman MBC's are nice. They also come with 2 springs depending on how much boost you are running. Although, I would recommend getting the Hallman Evolution Boost Controller vice the Pro RX mainly because it's more convenient to adjust your boost from inside the car! Good luck with whatever you choose!

i was thinking the same thing... hmm i didnt know he made MBCs...

Just try to get a good name at a good price. Boost Control is not something you wanna skimp on.

But it's not something you need to spend $100 on. My homemade one will work just as well as any other one. It doesn't need to be a name brand even, as a lot of people liked the Vodoo ones that used to be for sale on eBay.

100$ isnt a very good price for a MBC... i picked up a TurboXS one for 40.

hey on the topic- those ebay TurboSmart Knock offs. i hear theyre bad because theyre a "bleeder type"... ive read the writeup for the Home made ones, doesnt it say to drill a small hole to "bleed" right? then ive read some people say that they run higher boost because thier MBC doesnt bleed right... so whats the deal with that? wouldnt the EBay knock off be umm not so bad then?

I like the idea of an electronic boost controller. Because I'm lazy mainly. But, some of them have cool little functions that are fun to play with.

What's the difference between a Hallman Pro and a Hallman ES?

Our new Hallman ES kit contains a billet aluminum body that is anodized black, vacuum line and general installation instructions. Specific installation instructions may be downloaded from the files section of this site. The ES (Essentials) kit was designed for those looking for the best "bang for the buck" in boost control. This controller is not able to be upgraded to cockpit control.

Hallman Pro description:

Our new Hallman Pro kit contains our new Hallman Pro valve. The new Pro valve is machined out of billet aluminum and stainless steel pieces. The new design of the valve incorporates some great new features not currently available on any other manual boost controller.

We have designed the Pro valve to not require the use of a lock nut or any type or allen wrench(s) to be able to adjust your boost. Simply turn the adjustment knob and it stays. Another great feature is the fact that the adjustment knob cannot be lost or come out of the valve. Simply put there is not a potential for overboosting since the adjustment knob cannot vibrate loose and come out.

The Pro kit also includes: 3 feet of vacuum line, mounting bracket, hardware packet and complete installation instructions all in one kit.
