So im looking to get a boost control with my stock turbo. I actually have a couple questions...
1. What is stock boost for my car (97 Eagle Talon TSI)?
2. When i do get my boost controller, what is a safe PSI that i can crank it to without messing stuff up with everything stock except exhaust?
3. When i crank it to that PSI, how much horsepower do you expect me to get out of it?
Thanks a lot, in advance...
anything helps
:talon:

heres the answer to your questions..

use the SEARCH funtion on this site.... your questions...already answered ...

thank you

if its the same as the eclipse then it should be 8-9 psi
safe psi if the block is still good with good compression. Ive seen ppl run around 14-16 psi
idk about the horse power

Thank you, that helps a lot! I had seen in the "Search" function, like the other guy said, what was safe on other cars, but i wanted to know if there was a difference for my car or not. Thanks

Your wrong! USE YOUR OWN ADVICE AND USE THE SEARCH BUTTON!!!! Stock psi on a 2g is 14psi stock psi on a 1g is 12psi. With stock fuel set up I wouldn't bother turning it up just wait to you do some more searching. And you can't ask what horsepower you will be making because that is bench racing.

haha woops...sorry yea hes right....its 14psi on the 2g.....i run mines daily on 15psi....my stock wg is 10psi..I forget sometimes i have a external wg

On a near stock car, it would be hard to hurt the motor with anything up to 18 psi. Just cranking the boost I'd expect at most 20 h.p. With the mods mentioned below maybe another 20 h.p. A well setup T25 can pull 260 h.p. at the crank.

A fuel pump rewire would do wonders however and costs maybe $30 at most. There just isn't enough airflow generated by the T25 to hurt the motor if the fuel pump is taken care of.

With a K&N intake kit, hard turbo MAF pipe, 1g CBV, manual boost controller, and greddy catback exhaust, I ran my old T25 around 17-18 psi all day long. I'd also recommend the Forced Performance 17 psi wastegate actuator for the T25 & T28. This will make that turbo hit much harder and spool faster as well.
