stock boost guage question??

just bought a 1990 eclipse 2WD turbo and when car is idiling the boost guage rests at the -7 psi until i press on the gas to pull it up, that normal or should it stay at the zero mark when idile??? Thanx for any responses.

The stock boost guage does not give an accurate measurement of boost at all. But at idle your intake is under vacuum which is why the guage shows it that way. It sounds like it's fine, no worries.

Get an aftermarket boost gauge and nevery pay any mind to that stock thing again.

Normal. "Guage", "idiling" and "Idile" are not.
