I'm trying to help my friend find a manual boost controller for a 1991 eagle talon. It has the stock turbo and blow off valve. I looked at one and it says it goes between the turbo and wastegate, I have a n/t so I don't know what the hell that means. Does his car have a wastegate? If not where does the piece get installed and whats a decent one to buy.

That may not be the best way to hook up an MBC. Some people say they have no issues with their boost control, but many find that once they switch their boost source from the BOV line to the turbocharger/LICP nipple, their boost issues are resolved and boost control is improved. In addition, the operation of the BOV is compromised when the MBC uses that line for a boost source. Here are a few threads that deal with the subject:

I've never heard anyone say that they switched their MBC source to the BOV and experienced better results. However, I have noticed many people say that switching from the BOV line and going to a direct boost source close to the turbo improved everything. The above threads, plus a few more floating around, explain the reasons why. Look for oldman's posts on the subject, as he lists all the reasons why the compressor housing/LICP is the best place to get the boost source.

From reading those posts, you said in one to leave the WCS connected, and plug off the nipples on it to keep the computers happy.

I'm having problems with my boost controller right now, I just left the original hoses on the WCS hanging, not plugged into anything or capped off.

Could not plugging off those hoses be causing my MBC problems? I know the WCS is not connected to my wastegate actuator anymore, but that electrical harness is still plugged into the WCS, so I'm thinking the inputs the car is getting from the open hoses on the WCS is afftecting how my car is boosting...

The stock boost control solenoid shouldn't be affecting your boost, since it's been taken out of the system by the installation of the MBC. You can leave the hoses on there, plug them, or take them off and plug the nipples. I don't even have the nipples plugged on mine. The BCS does need to be left plugged into the electrical connector or you run the risk of throwing a CEL. The ECU apparently likes to see that it's still in the system, even if it's not doing anything.

you can get cheap ones off ebay with instructions or you can make one and look up instructions or a how-to
