I have a cracked exhaust manifold and it leaks BAD. I was wondering is there much of a difference in just getting a evo manifold or an obx header? i have obx headers on my probe gt v6 and they fit good. and another question i turned up the boost to 16lbs and i kept getting a melted spark plug, it did it twice so i turned the boost back down-12lbs. Both times it was on the same cylinder, and the other spark plugs look great, does that mean that the injector for the cylinder is making it too lean i/e bad injector? thanks guys your always a great help.
 
An OBX for our cars is are bad manifolds. For N/A cars they are ok but when you hang a turbo from it they tend to crack on the welds. Then you will just have another leak on your hands again or even worse. You don't even have to get an EVO manifold. The manifold of choice because of cost is a ported 2g manifold. For 75 bucks you can get the same thing as you would with an EVO but cheaper. I run it on my 1g and love it. What plugs are you running for you plug melting problem. Sounds like you have a problem with way to hot of a spark and you need to step it down a step colder. That could also be an issue is having a cylinder run to lean and are burning up plugs. Let me know what plugs you are running so we can help you with that though.

What cylinder was melting its plug?
 
going right to left its the second one. i did have some double platinums in it the first time then went to ngk7's. both melted. yeah like i said its jus one cylinder doin it. it did it twice so ive been babying it till i get new injectors-550's and afc/datalogger. im pretty sure its an injector leaning out since its jus one cylinder. or i think im right :thumb: :notgood: thanks for the reply on the manifold, i just want to spend about 200 or less on it.
 
I would go for a 2g ported then. It will outflow that OBX one anyday. I'm pretty sure that a stock one even outflows because of the small diameter of piping that they use for there tubular manifolds. But if you want it to look good then get an OBX but if you want it to work right I'd get a 2g ported one. You can search abou the OBX one's and read the stories about them.
