toronto,
so i bought a DC SPORT upper strut tower bar and i noticed that the MDP sensor is in the way (actually only the brown clip part). Is it possible to turn the sensor around (by enlongating the 3 wires) and the sensor will still work properly?
OR
if i just unplug the sensor would my ecu still read properly?...considering i believe that this only sences emission controls.

thank you

btw for a 2g turbo (its a sensor, unlike the 1g which is an actual probe)

ya ive tried that, and........no dice :notgood:

my alternatives r either wat i said b4...or trim 2inches wide by .25 inch high on the udner part of the upper strut tower bar.

That sucks, i bought ebay cheapo's and they fit fine...what ones did you get?

I did an intake swap on my 2g and used a 1g n/a intake mani. Since it's not a turbo intake it didn't have a space for the sensor...so i just tried to take it off all together...and guess what..it worked. But that's just my experience. Dont be afraid to give it a try. At the worst you'll have to put it back on.
Note: I just unplugged the sensor from the harness.

95's have the least pickiest ECU's. If he leaves the harness unplugged his CEL will come on.

You can plug the hole in the manifold "T" into your brake booster line and run a line to the MPDI sensor at least thats what I did on my 6 bolt swap. :thumb:

Well concidering it really has nothing to do with the fuel management, the motor turns properly, accelerates no differently either. I just wanted to see what you guys thought was the best...ill test'r out at the track plugged and unplugged, and give u guys the results after i sh!t pump it LOL

thanx
