Does anyone know if, by using a 10k potentiometer on the Barometric Pressure Sensor lowers your injector duty cycle?

Thanks

I have the cables for my logger on the way. That seemed like a cheap fix for lowering duty cycle, leaning the car out (fuel wise) and staying away from fuel cut when running high boost with alcohol.

I'd suggest you use one of the more modern tuning tools but here's the old old school way.

Just curious, but why use something more expensive to do the same thing... I would like to leave the partial throttle and idle alone, I am just worried about full throttle while the alcohol is spraying. Any input would be appreciated I don't want to overlook something critical.

Thanks for the reply

Changing the Baro or IAT isn't going to only effect WOT it's all the time.
The whole reason we don't do this anymore is the limited range and the side effects.
A SAFC, EPROM upgrades/DSMlink are so much more useful and safer than lieing to the ECU about the temp or baro pressure and you have some control.

Steve

After reading a lot of posts I was under the impression that the barometric adjustment only effected WOT, although it seemed to me it would affect richness all the time.

I don't plan on using the IAT because temperature fluctuates way more often than barometric pressure and I would rather richen it up using methanol any way.

Hate to bring this back, but It's probably better than another new thread about already discussed discussions.

Claims that te baro mod is effective and only effects WOt, so which is it? I get a random misfire ever time i get on the hwyw around 3krpm. Drives me nuts! No six bolt swap either, happened a day after I got a new clutch.

I've been thinking of trying this mod.
Also, would running slightly more lean realloy hurt my car during daily driving? Obviously I'd never run it lean enough for my logger to show overly low o2 values/pulled timing.

Thanks.

Piper, It's not a good idea to fix problems by adding mods. Find the problem and fix it before adding more mods. Adding mods like this might make the misfire even worse.

Thanks, but I'm aware of that. It is worth exploring to me though. Especially since I have no fuel control but I am running slightly rich, so this mod would be of interest to me anyways - apart from just being curious about whether or not it will effect the entire RPM range, WOT or not.
I don't even know for sure that my CAS is bad and thats why I'm getting the Random Misfire...which is why I've not dropped $80 bucks on replacing it.

I've made a few threads and no one's been able to figure out whats up....Unless you think you can help? :thumb:
