Making your Own Custom Seats!

I should have specified more. How much would it cost if I shipped you my seats and had you do them for me?
Crimson is right...it would cost too much to ship them around. I can make the covers for you to install yourself, But its NOT very simple to install them. You would need a few special tools. However I am selling a FULL interior on the classified ads here. I have all the 2g seats. I could recover them in any color you want and ship those to you, But as I said the shipping wont be cheap :(

that looks really good. what do u think if would cost to do my 2g?

Thanks man...they look way better in person. These pictures don't do them justice.

Your boss NEEDS to give you a raise! :thumb:

Haha you ain't kiddin.....I need to bring you to work with me, so you can tell him that :)

I wish I could start a DSM Interior company of my own...but it seems NONE of the DSMers want to spend more than 100 dollars to do the WHOLE interior?!
Some guys will spend 1,000,000,000 on a Turbo but leave the interior looking like a RAT ate the seats hhahaha. I guess a lot of these cars have aftermarket Racing seats, but Im NOT into the whole race car looking thing. That's why I re-covered my stock seats.

How much would you charge for the new seat covers. I know that this isn't the classified section but your upholstery skills are top notch man. PM me if you get a chance.

BTW, what kind of tools would you need as well?

The only tools you need are a pair of Hog Ring pliers and Hog Rings. They can be bought pretty cheap at most tool stores. Here is a Link for a cheapo set. HOG RING PLIERS SET - 55112 I use an air powered hog ring gun at work, but If you're only doing 1 interior the hand pliers are fine.

The only other special thing we use is a steamer to soften the material and make it form to the seat better.

Here is a pic and a link of the EXACT same steamers I use. Even though I doubt anyone is rushing out to buy a steamer to install some seats covers ONCE haha. Just thought I'd add it anyway.

Good looking seats. If I were you I would have added a super thin layer of memory foam in there two so the original pattern still fit but you would have such a better feeling in that seat. I personally am going to buy a set of Bride Low Max seats. I like the bucket feel more as I slide all around on my 2G leathers.

Thanks, It cost me NOTHIN! As I said I got the materials from work and sewd them myself.

I put in and extra domelight too cause I can't ever see in my backseat. :notgood:

NOW I CAN SEE IN THE BACK!

I like that extra domelight you put into your car. Where did you put the wires when you put it in? I know you ran the wires in the headliner, but where did you ultimately find the ground and power for it? This is the 2nd one I've seen done, but I haven't seen a writeup for it.

Man the interior in your car is just clean and awesome once again

Thanks man, It really helps out to have the extra light back there!

I took the headliner down and ran the door trigger wire off the rear view mirror lights. This way the new dome light comes on when you open the door and use the keyless entry. Then I just grounded it to the sunvisor screw and ran a constant 12.v from under the dash.

Hey any chance you have pictures of you sewing them. Id like to see how you set up the fabric when u sew it. I wanna try it but i wanna know exactly how im gonna do it before i go cutting my seat covers apart. Thanks

Im getting ready to re-do my backseats with the suede. So Maybe I'll make a video of me sewing them up!

:talon:

WoW this is unreal!! I want to bring my car up to you. I am not too far from Cleveland.
I wish I had a sewing machine, I would try this myself.

Thanks, you can bring your car to me but we actually have branches in Kentucky/Cincinatti areas.
PM me and I an give you the Info. :)

Perfect, cause my seats are absolutely roached. Got any pics of different color combos?

Here is some pics of cars that we did. Sorry, not many pics of DSM interiors.

I do plain color ones too...but I only take pics of the custom stuff usually.
