Hey all, I have search around and cant seam to find a full smic piping kit for the stock smic on my 1g (If there is one and i just havent found it a link would help please)...so i think i am going to attempt to make my own, question is what all do i need, i know pipe and couplers and a decent welder. but what pipes and couplers do i need, i want to make both the cold and hot pipes, prob i temp paint them, or at least wrap the hot side. Any help will be thankfull.

Thanks, Dustin.

You could always take it to a Muffler shop, and ask for Mandrel bent Mild Steel, they'll build it, roll it, and weld it up to your specs. Chances are they can do it with less Bends, and couplers making it less Prone to Leaks.

If i cant buy the one off of PR i kinda wanna make my own, i have a mini tube bender at my dads i can use and my unlce is the best welder in craig county i know off, LOL of course less couplers better but i at least want enough so that its easy to remove the kit as needed if neede. any links on good prices on couplers?

You know you can just Google this stuff ;)

EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts <-- all the couplers you'll ever need.

Ebay has better prices on silicone coupler sets. I think we used a set once a few years back on a Mazda GTX. They seemed pretty standard and worked out all right.

Thanks for the link.
I try and avoid using google to much, you get to much random crap. and i rather not help google take over the world as they are doing, hahaROFL

I have custom 3 inch on mine. One pipe from the hot side to the IC and one Pipe from the IC to the Tb. Then I heat wrapped the side from the IC to the TB and it made a noticable difference. If you have someone that is good at welding you would save money making your own. Also it depends on how nice the bender you have can make. All in all it would probably be about the same if you had a muffler shop make one compared to buying one on PR.

it seems that everyone who has the 1g's without the headlight pop ups. they never deal with fitment problems.
