I've searched and searched and can't find the how many bends and what degree bends I'd need for a custom 3" turbo back exhaust for my 97GST Spyder. If someone has made one please let me know cause I'm gonna have to order the mandrel bends myself since no shops around here do that.
Thanks alot:thumb:

Come on guys, please help me out. I can't find this anywhere. Surely someone has made their own 2g gst exhaust.

As far as making your own..its the best way to go so you can get a perfect fit.
My exhaust was custom and he used a 70 degree pie cut. Its all welded together with 2 bends in the whole thing.

I bought a 3" mandrel bent u-pipe from summit-racing, a 3" inlet/outlet Dynomax bullet muffler, and 5' of 3" piping for my GST.

Ok, so you get the u-pipe and make 2 90 degree bends out of it? That's awesome, I thought there would be more bends than that. You have a 90 for the downpipe, where is the other bend?

Err, sorry, I though I read cat-back the first time. I used 2 u-bends for the entire turbo-back. About 90* is used for the initial bend, then a straight section, then you have to duplicate that little s-curve in the middle of the downpipe, which will require about 90* more of pipe and maybe a few pie cuts to get creative. Then you have another straight section, followed by a 90* bend, a length of pipe towards the side of the car, then a little more than 90* under the axle and out the back at a slight angle. You could make the exhaust exit straight, but it would require another bend. You will need about 10' of straight pipe for a turbo-back system.
