95 Gsx 6 bolt swap
Rebuilt due to bend rod and this same smoke issue I'm currently having even after a full rebuild.
Rebuilt went great runs perfectly as of right now. Get into boost nicely on stock tune making 18lbs roughly. Decel after boost will completely smoke the road out at times, but sometimes it does it other times it doesn't as much. But literally smokes the entire road out with a toxic smell, I'm at a loss for words on for to describe how thick the white smoke is. Nothing like coolant or oil (both of which are perfect and clean)
My only guess is the turbo is getting too much oil pressure because it doesn't have a regulator on the feed line so I'm pretty sure it's seeing the full 80+ lbs of pressure and blowing seals?? But it's my understanding that it would be burning oil (blue smoke) if this was the cause. Otherwise the car is running shifting and starting great. And will sit and do 2 step launch control with no smoke making boost perfectly (don't ask me how I know this)
Need some help please, I have a regulator fitting that should fit in the feed side of the turbo to keep pressure around 40. Otherwise I am completely stumped as it was doing exactly this with a slightly bent rod before the rebuild with a different 20g turbo
ill add some photos from the rebuild below if I can find them, I was not able to record the white smoke issue.
