MAFT won't stay connected?!

I can't tune with my maft because the green led won't stay dimly lit. If I rev the engine, it lights up then stays dim for maybe 5 seconds and then turns off. When the led is dimly lit, it is tuneable, but it doesn't stay on for long.

I'm tapped into the 58th pin on the ecu and am at a loss for what to do? Does anyone have any ideas?

aren't you supose to tap into the CAS for an RPM signal?

No, Pin # 58 on the 2G ecu's is a good RPM signal. Thats where I have mine wired to also.

Yeah, I used the wire tap and spade that they supplied, but the leds only light up sometimes when I turn the key. Do you guys think its a weak rpm signal? Maybe I should solder into the ecu wire?
