I bought a crappy M105 off Ebay to compliment my use of Pocketlogger. (I soon realized the caps were dead in the unit...wont save anything between battery changes, what a POS )

I dont use my logger on a daily basis, but Ive noticed that the logger often will not stay connected when making a high RPM/heavy loaded pull, ie: "connection was lost with ECU, log stopped"

It didnt do this in the very beggining, but has slowly become more frequent to the point where I have just stopped even bothering with it.

What is likely causing this? Something I can fix perhaps?

my m105 does the same thing during batterie changes. i just try to get everything backed up on my computer before i swap them out. it also says on the back of the palm unit that you shouldn't take longer than 1 minute to change the batteries, that is if it ever worked on these units.

are your connections between your palm and car ports plugged in tightly?

what software are you using? pocketlogger?

That happens to me when my byte timing is to tight, back the 2 values down some, you won't get as many samples/sec but atleast you will stay connected.
