I'm trying to decide if I should go with the SAFC or the MAFT for my fuel tuning. I know everybody and their brother has used the SAFC with great success, I don't doubt that at all. But at ~$300 for a new one, plus the fact that the 1g MAF isn't all that great, I am leaning towards the MAFT for my tuning. I can get a brand new MAFT for $160, and my dad works at a chevy dealership, so I might even be able to scam a used 3" GM mas for free. My plans are to keep the 16g evo3, with either a upgraded side mount, or possibly stock side mount with water/meth injection (see my other post for that debate) I'm gonna get 660's just so I don't have to worry about the fuel situation with a 190 pump. I have no other plans for this car. It may see the strip a few times, but honestly I have other cars that I drag race ('65 plymouth belvedere, and '72 duster on the way), so this i just my daily driver. I really don't need to push the limits of tuning, because I need it to be tuned for safety all of the time since this is my daily driver. I'm hoping that with an upgraded SMIC I can push maybe 18psi on 93 pump gas? Can anyone justify not just going with the MAFT set up over the SAFC?. . .
Thanks
