I know that you can compensate for larger injectors and all with the maft gen1, but what I am wondering which with all the searching I have done and cant get a straight answer on is how much compensation does the generation 1 provide? If it moves in percent incraments such as safc and the gen2, how many percent of fuel compensation can it go up. I know the gen 2 is 60% and the safc is 30%, but what about maft gen 1?

Maft1 uses dials to tell it the injector size. Then you can adjust based on load. But I would say it may become unreliable higher than 650s like an afc without a custom chip with injector compensation

So if I were to want 7xx's i would mostlikely need a chip burned and eprom to get an accurate tune, or are there any people just using the gen 1 for tuning and using larger than 650's and its working? The reason is I will be using an hx35 in my setup, and plan on usign injectors around 7xx or 8xx cc's but am not sure yet.

when you tell the ecu there is less airflow it advances timing which can be harmful especially on 1g because they have pretty agressive timing as is. I wouldnt suggest running without a custom chip higher than 550s or 650s on the maft1

Yes I understand that, but the fact is that I will ave to purchase eprom and a chip, when I would be better off getting dsmlink v3 which works on 1g non eproms. And I also understand the v3 will probably ending up costing more than that, but the key is that dsm link is far superior to maft, so it would be my best bet in getting link so I can adjust many more things.
