Kinda new 2 this tuning thing but does any one know how to tune this thing? I put it in got in running alrite from little to part throttle but at WOT it runs like crap! the air/fuel gauge (not wideband) maxs out at rich but if i pull fuel on the translater it won't even pull im lost

OMG DO NOT TUNE YOUR CAR WITH THAT LIGHT SHOW!

get a wideband before you start a thread asking why your car blew up.

Check for boost leaks and leave the settings at stock till you buy a wideband or can take it to a dyno and let a professional handle it because it seems that you are over your head already

Or atleast get a logger. That is a little cheaper and will set you in the ballpark. It sounds like you need to read up a little on the subject.

Fuel injection and timing is a monster trying to get correct. Like Robbo said it is very easy to melt your motor. Have plenty of research under your belt, ask plenty of questions, and take your time. Its a long and hard process of getting it right.

I reccomend a wideband logger, also some sort of piggyback like AFC maybe. That is easier than MAFT.

It took me a month of sundays to get to the point of hitting boost. Be patient or it will bite you in the butt.

Good luck!!! Happy tuning!

Try setting up the injectors, to lean out you have to turn the dial counter clockwise I hope thats what you're doing. As mentioned above you really need a wideband It took me a couple of turns of the idle before it ran right. Youre going to blow something using the a/f meter because Its only good for wot, you also need to set the mid but you should be fine with a logger.

I know a guy that took ages before he got his going because he was without dsmlink and then after he got it going he claimed he was making less whp on the dyno and ended up going back to a stock one. There are also lots of guys running fine without dsmlink just thought I'd mention that. The wideband makes it way easier when setting the idle, but you need a logger to set the mid and wot, the a/f is no good there's no way you'll be able to keep an eye on the a/f and on your driving at the same time.

Your cheapest easiest way would be to get a logger of some sort. You can get your fuel trims in check and then start on the wide open throttle. Don't go buy that gauge since your ECU is always cycling to find that 14.5:1 air fuel while in closed loop. You can use a wideband to do the closed loop portion of tuning but it can be a little trickier.
