i have a chipped ecu that is set for maft. could i put a 2g mass on my car and keep the chip set for maft! im soon going to go gm maf but i dont wanna go throught the hasle of switching ecu's! please wb

i dont thin so because it will be reading from the translator but i deffinitly can be wrong

your new 2g MAF is going to flow different from that of your 1g MAF. You will have to setup the translator for the 2g maf.

The original MAFT will not be able to control a 1g/2g maf. The Gen2 is capable of controlling all three. If your chip is set up to run MAFT, most likely the barometric and iat may be locked to a set value on the chip. This may cause your car to run poorly without the gm maf. There is different compensation when switching between 1g and 2g mafs, too
