MAC 3-port boost solenoid with MBC??

I took this off the donor car I bought. Seems to be the same thing as:

But the part number is: 111B-571BAAA
Question is: why does it have MBC attached to it? don't these solenoids operate instead of MBC? I've seen threads on other forums "3-port boost solenoid vs MBC" and such.

Also, I'm not planning to tune anytime soon but want to install the MBC to raise psi a bit. Will this combo work for me if I just install it to use MBC? WTF

seems by the way that its routed that they were using the mbc as a sort of back up for the solenoid.

Looks like a Dejon Powerhouse (best of luck to Dave) single stage boost controller.

the function of it is to run the stock wastegate pressure, or with a flip of a switch (ground the solenoid) run the MBC psi setting.
