LSD Install help

I have already read the FAQ on an LSD install but I have a question about shimming the LSD. It says to shim the bottom to line up the drive gears & shim the top so it doesn't slop around in the housing. I would think there should be more specific specs such as preload or a measured tolerance. Can anyone tell me what this would be?

Has nobody installed their own LSD? Or did everybody just do what the VFAQ said, and there are no "real" specs?

PM scrymerr he has done to lsd installs and he might know the preload specs.

Im pretty sure the end play should be .02 " on the diff and on the intermediate shaft and input shaft it aks for pre-load of .02 ". Hopefully that helps you out.
