YES I know this has been gone over but i havent seen almost anything for a 96 TSi and what i am looking for.

I want to get about a 2" drop maybe 2.5" and be flush but I dont want to spend alot of money. I am looking to drop around 400-500 dollars at the most and I know I am not going to get top of the line but that isnt what I am looking for as of right now.

Links would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Keep your 400bucks and get a grinder and cut one coil off your springs. You will get the drop you want and save a ton of cash. Ive done this on all my cars except the ones that came lowered and ive never had a problem with it. I know people will probably flame me for this but idc.LOL lowering your car is gonna make it have a shitty ride anyways so why not save the cash and put it where it matters.under the hood. just my .02

They are called "Sportlines" and they are a very popular way to lower a 2G and make it handle like crud. They are probably exactly what the OP wants.

Haha. Well, I dont want bad handling is the problem :/ I know i contradict myself but i want the best of both worlds if possible

Then, as has been said many times before, start building it piece by piece, as you can afford it, never buying something you'll have to throw away later. Ergo, a set of Koni Sports right now, maybe cutting one coil off the OE springs as you install them.

The sportlines make it really low, im sure if you search either on here or google you could find pics of peoples cars with sportlines or other spirngs.
