I've been looking into getting a set of lowering springs for my car, mainly because i am tired of looking at the grand canyon between my fender and tire. i'm not sure what would be a good drop to have a good look, and still have good ride quality. I've been looking into the Eibach pro and sportline kit, but i have been hearing that the tein s springs are good. what are your opinions on these springs, and are any of you using them?

also, will i have to change my stock shocks or struts to accomodate for the drop in the suspension?

Both are great springs and you cant go wrong with either one..

I personally ran the Tien S when i 1st both the car and loved them.. about a 1.5 inch drop and never bounced around using stock struts..

Ive seen cars on the Eibach's and there just the same

Well, how low do you plan to go?

Ideally, you would change both at the same time. The shocks are designed to dampen the amount of travel a set of springs will do, so the car doesn't bounce up and down after hitting a bump. They are engineered to use the X amount of travel. When you put lower springs on, it can't do it's job. You should get springs and shocks that are right for each other. At least, that's the right way to do it. The other thing is when you lower a car, you need to make sure the camber is straightened out.

My friend's Talon had about 2" lowering kit and the rear tires were leaning inward way too much. The inside of the rear tires was chewed up.

i've been looking into a 1.5" drop, or something around that area. i have been doing some research and found out about the camber and apparently you can have that problem fixed without a camber kit if you have your car alligned, but this is just what I hear

For anyone still reading this forum I bought my gts 2g lowered on 18s, low pro tires and the driver before did not camber the car but it was 2 inches off the floor cost me 600 for 2 new tires, once I found ou on the ground.t my rear tires were chewed up bad. So if you really want to decide if u need a camber kit.watch the inside of all your tires swipe with your hands checking for any tear and make sure your tires are sitting perfectly flat on ground my best way to check is by laying behind the car in the middle of both left an right sides then with flashlight or in daylight look for any tear on inside of both rear wheels. Do the same for front. If u see any issues I mentioned stop driving the car until u camber it tires can get torn fast my did in a month and are expensive.
