Lowering springs, now the rear is too low.

Hey guys, I recently threw on some Eibach Sportlines onto the Tokico Illuminas that were on the car. Ive read around a little and havent found anything like this or about the idea Ive got. Before I put these on I just had stock springs on the Illuminas and I had about 3-3.5 fingers width of room between the top of the tire and the fender (as seen in pic below). After however, I cant even fit one finger between (also below). The front is about a finger n a half width gap, maybe an inch or 1.25" gap. Id like to get the gaps to be as close to equal as I can. Now heres the thing, is there something I can put between the top of the strut and the strut tower to maybe bring this gap to be larger? Or if you guys have had this happen and thought of something else that was a solution, please share! Ive also got pretty bad camber in the rear and I do plan to roll the inner fender and put the spacers between the upper A arm to reduce this.

Sorry it took so long to get pics up..

This doesn't surprise me, this is the same thing I found a lot of complaints on when I decided on the springs to get for my car. It is the main reason I bought the Pro-Kit, which at 1.3 inches, I think is the ideal drop for performance. My only advice is to get rid of the Sports and get the Pros.

I completely agree with Meat on this one. The previous owners had sportlines or something similair dropwise on the car. I went to pro kits with some kyb's and it was a night and day difference. The pro kit drop is perfect appearance wise and there was a bit of a noticable positive difference in the handling area as well.

I had the same problem, but I got my sportlines and kybs from the junkyard for 75 bucks. My solution was some spring spacers. They go inbetween the springs and expand the coils to raise the suspension. I got them at autozone. If you need pictures let me know

Those dont sound too bad! Do you have a before and after shot?

Im not too worried about the suspension right now since this fall Im going to be starting an all wheel swap, so Im going to need a different suspension set up anyhow. For now however, Id just like to have a decent ride height for looks..

This was the best i could get, sorry the pictures aren't the best quality. I couldnt get my camera in the wheel well so I had to use my droid.

I don't have any before pictures, only after pictures after I raised the suspension because when I had 17's they rubbed in the back and bottomed out over any bumps.

Hopefully this helps.
