Ok I'm working on a 2.3L Stroker in my 4g63. And of course I'm going 6 bolt crankshaft. But looking at all the kits I could find they only go as low as 8.5:1 on the compression. I want to get closer to 8 than that. So anyone got a suggestion for parts because it looks like I'm going to have to buy separate parts for the stroker kit. So please all help appreciated. I'm shooting for around 700HP to the wheels. So lets hear it people.

Plenty of people have gone over 700HP with 8.5:1. Theres probably a reason they don't go lower. I'm not an expert, just saying.

The reason they dont go lower is the same reason you dont need to go lower. The combustion chamber and port design of the 4G63 is extremely efficient and therefore posseses an apealing BSFC (brake specific fuel consumption) which lends itself to less knock per octane. If you are shooting for 700hp (which is way too much in your case) you're going to require a huge laggy turbo with a compromised powerband for the street so you want as much compression as your airflow/octane will allow to help spool the turbo faster and make more power off-boost. You have no reason to run less than 8.5-1.

Compression lower then 8.5:1 would not do you fine for 700hp and that much hp is pretty unusable for a DD vehicle anyways if that is what the car is used for.
