I am replacing my clutch and as i was clearing the I/C piping. I was wondering what the large piece of plastic is between turbo and the I/C its self. And do i really need it.
Thanks Joboy :dsm:

You dont need that plastic tank you can just put a piece of 2.5 inch pipe in its place but you will have to crimp the ends of the pipe or it will come of under boost. When i bought my car that was one of the first things i removed. I put in a 2.5 inch pipe in its place with out crimping the ends on the pipe and, it was fine untill i did the AWD conversion but then for some reason it start'd blowing off under boost. Or u can just buy an after market solid lower i/c pipe.
