low rpms

So i was driving the other day, and when i put the car in neatural, its almsot at 0 rpms, it sounds like the car is gonna shut off but it doesnt. If i step on the gas, it will only go up to 4,000 rpm and it takes me to almost floor it to do this. and it takes a few seconds for it to get up to 4,000. When i wanna get the car moving, i need to get the rpms as high as i can (flooring it up to 4,000 rpms then realising the clutch to get the car to move) if i dont rev it high enough, it just stalls outs. This happened all of a sudden, when i was driving. Please help, i had to drive like 20 mph all the way home and it was a pain. What could be the problem?

Check the intake pipe and intercooler piping. If you have to keep your foot on the gas to keep the car running than you could have an intercooler pipe blown off or something like that.

Well check all the wiring for the map and iat sensors then. Use dsmlink to see if there are any check engine lights. If all is good there there than i would look at your timing marks.

It's "ECMLink", and it has nothing to do with using or not using a MAF, unless you mean you are running SD.

Since you have ECMLink, post up a log.

so i so captured a log of my car, but i noticed something very strange. Ecmlink is saying my car is idling around 1,100 rpms which is normal for my car. But my tachometer is reading a little above 0, like the second line above 0 and it doesnt sound like its idling around 1,100 it sounds much much lower. and when i step on the gas, it says i was reving up to about 4500 but it would only go up to about 2000 on the gauge. What can be causing all these problems? Also i got a check engine light and its code 0300 which is "Random Misfire detected".

With the p0300 code and the problems your describing it sounds like you have a massive vaccum leak somewhere. I donr know much about link but is their a way to see how many counts your seeing? Any maintanance done recently?

Just normal maintence, and im not sure if there any way to log it, but something is really wrong with the car. I dont know what else it could be. everything looks normal

There are a lot of things out of whack with your ECMLink settings. Here's a few after a quick glance:

1. You're pulling 14* of timing at 2000 rpm which is just crazy. Zero out the timing sliders.

2. Timing at low RPMs is sporadic and very low, which probably explains the idle. My guess is that your base timing is off, or the t-belt may even be off a tooth. Verify all your timing marks line up, and use a timing light to verify base timing is 5* BTDC. Verify your CAS configuration and settings per this page.

3. The ECU is locked in open loop and there is no Front O2 signal. Why?

4. The VE table is really whacked in the higher load/RPM ranges. That isn't causing your idle issues, but needs to be addressed before you do any pulls.

5. You don't have your MAP sensor assigned to an input so that it can be logged.

6. Your TPS needs to be calibrated.

unfortunatly i bought this car from someone, its a mess, i feel like im dumping so much money into this car, because i dont have any friends who can do the work for me. I needed my power steering pulley and alternator pulley replaced and that ran me $200. Whats your advice, with what i should do with all the work that needs to be done?

as for the ecu being in open loop and no o2 signal i have no idea why, i just bought this car recently and i dont know to much about them yet. i really need someone who knows what there looking at to take a look at it for me.
