Hello Tuners!!!
:D
So today i turn my vehicle on for the 3rd time after a full year of never turning it on, and noticed some stuff that i didn't noticed before.

1- On the stock Gauge it shows the oil pressure low, right in the middle of L and the middle of the gauge, its not in-between the lines that the Factory gauge has..

2- I Have a Big T28 with Adjustable actuator, but i only spike 11psi and stay at 10psi all the way through.. *I thought that with the Adjustable Actuator the lowest would be is 17psi?*

3- I Have a code P0120= somethign with Throttle Position Sensing, when i did take my throttle body out i cleane dit and took some stuff of, but i made sure everything is plugged in, an dthe light comes on right away, also i put my scanner and noticed i idle when regular temps(about 158-165) the car idles close to 800rpm sometimes it goes under 800rpms.. Could this be the problem? and how can i get throught this if anyone knows?

4- Would old gas with some stabilizers and other injector cleaners make the exhaust smell like it would kill me? it sucks smell. i do not have a cat but i think i will put one a high flow at least because that smell sucks, when idling*..

5- What is a good Exhaust? directly bolt on to 2G eclipse, that wont sounds to rattle, something that sounds smooth.. Give me options dont matter price, looking to save for these anyways.. Exhaust is not too important, the other stuff is, like the Code* P0120..

Please Help if you can, or give me some links or anything that would help.. Thank you Very much....:thumb:

With the adjustable wastegate, i believe they come set to 10-11 psi. To run a little more you would need to tighten the wastegate but its recommended that you just buy a MBC instead of using this method.

P0120 - throttle position sensor malfunction. When you took off your throttle body to clean it, you probably removed the TPS sensor. you need to properly set it. There is a few ways of doing this. If you have dsmlink, go to TPS voltage and set it for .63 volts when the throttle is fully closed. This is what the ecu likes to see.
The other method of doing this is by setting it using continuity. You have place a feeler gauge of .45mm between the stop screw and throttle pulley. then you want to test the resistance of pins 3 and 4 (pin 4 being ground- black) and move the tps sensor until its looses continuity. then verify that pins 2 and 4 reads between .4 and 1V while the feeler guage is still in place.

i personally like the apexi n1 exhaust. thats what i have on my 98 gst and would choose no other.

Oil pressure at idle does look kind of low but should go up when raising the idle and dricing around.

My big t28 with my mbc turned as low as it will go is at 20 psi spiking to 23psi so I do not think its a t28 but that it is a t25.

Your idle is fine a p0120 indicates something wrong electrically. Either a bad sensor, wiring, or ecu.

If gas goes bad then yes it can smell bad. You should never parka car long term with more than a couple gallons in it.

Take your car to a muffler shop and have them make you a 3" exhaust. You can choose mufflers that make it not too loud and save lots of money. My downpipe, cat, mufflers and having the catback made cost me a total of 350

Wow Thank you for the Info, on the code*
- i will get to that as soon as possible-(i dont like engine lights) i hate having any lights on the dash on.. Thanks

Its s Big T28- i had a T25, my T28 has a stamp on the side:0.49 A/R..
I dont know what the problem could be, because im only spiking 11psi and the rest 10psi.. I don't like that..

You have to adjust the rod to put more pressure on the flapper. You will probably get 15-16 psi because the exhaust pressure will help blow the flapper open but the adjustable waste gate helps hold boost to redline. I wouldn't really mess with it unless you have a data logger and wideband to make sure your not running out of fuel.

And about the oil pressure gauge. To put it simple they suck. Even with a new sending unit mine only works sometimes if I play with it

I Do have a Wideband. im at 14.7-and it moves between 14.1-15.1 sometimes.. at idle.. with car Warm..

Well with the rod all the way to minimun i should be at 17psi according to the Adjustable Actuator instructions online, now i talked to the tuner who sold it to me, and he said he used to spike 19psi, but that before that he had a boost leak and he was also spiking 11 psi.. now let me ask this, shoudl i take the vaccum lines from teh stock boost solenoid? and just route it without going there. i think this is what is hodling me back since teh solenoid its i think measured to only give 11psi max.. or should i not remove that?

and thanks for the input..

Just going to throw this out there - The stock gauge will never show you idling and producing the 'proper' amount of oil pressure. The gauge is little more helpful then letting you know that you have oil pressure. Period. It's normal for that gauge to be damned near zero at idle. As long as there is some oil pressure, you're fine. You should invest in an aftermarket one, however, if you're as anal as I am about proper readings.

HAHAHA i like this, good relive here i tell you that, for my understanding i know i should never run with low oil pressure but i guess its all good because its well over zero its close to the middle of the gauge, and even when doing my project i replaced it with a new one(off the oil filter housing)if im correct, and i guess its not a problem because it doesn't change.. But at least now i know not to worry about it much, and yes i will sometime later-on get a gauge not for now thou, i gotta worry about this low psi crap my car is pulling, i hit 11psi good and strong, but im supposed to hit minimun of 17psi with this adjustable actuator.

The code P0120 part of the problem i can fix, i have a scanner that reads that stuff so i can play with it unbolt it and move it and see measurement..

Thank You
