loud thunk under car

i have a 2 g eclipse when i hit the brakes hard or knock the front down quick theres a huge ass popping noise , somethings obviously hiting the underside any ideas?

It could be a lot of things, do you have an aftermarket front bumper or any front lips? Your best bet would be to look under the car for something that is scratched up, or something that hangs low.

its coming from directly under my seat and it also does it when i accelerate hard ,.... i think it may be exhaust... i donno for sure though

Could it be the flex pipe thing hitting the ground? Is the car lowered and is the exhaust stock? I think your best bet would be to look under there.
