Ok Guys. Just got my car together & running. I drove it a 1/4 mile down the road by the shop where I had some fab work done. I eased into it just a little & when I let off I heard what sounded like a vibration sound. Figured it was something touching or rubbing like the exhaust. I brought it home & when I went to back it off the trailer it backed up a little then It was like I was hung on something, but I wast. Well I went to drive it down the road the other day & it did the same thing. It would not back out of the shop. It goes in reverse then just stops like I yank the ebrake up. I pushed it out of the shop in neutral. I drove it a 1/4 mile down the road & back. That sound gets louder like a knock now. All the forward gears are fine. Well when I got back there was trans fluid all over the place from one of my trans cooler lines. I went to tighten the clamp up & it stripped so I know It was tight. This knock gets louder every time I start it up. I have layed under this car countless times. The knock is coming from between the motor & trans. The torque converter bolts are tight. Nothing is hitting. It sounded like no. 3 or 4 rod cap beating the oil pan. I've pulled the wires on no.3 & 4 checking for spun bearing. The sound gets louder. If it was a rod it would get quieter ya know. So, I've dropped the oil pan. Everything looks & feels fine. Nothing has been touching. There is no metal in the oil or filter. This has got me good. I dont know whether I have 1 or 2 problems. Obviously I have a reverse problen, but I dont know what could be knocking in the trans. I dont know if the knocking sound is traveling through the converter to the crank & making it sound like the bottom end in the motor or what. It makes the knocking sound idling below 1000rpm bc its camming. You give it gas it doesnt knock. It only does it when you let off the gas. This just makes me so sick bc I have so much time & money in this thing.
