Loud Clanging sound no power good compression

Ok here goes, I was driving on the highway a few days ago and felt a huge loss of power. I shut off the car, pulled over. I restarted the car and heard a loud banging sound from under the hood similar to the sound I heard when I snapped a rod bout a year back, but no oil spill/oil light. Towed the car home and found the car in a coolant puddle the next morning. I did a compression check got 155-130-155-150, evaluated the head/lifters looked fine. Car starts but runs like shit and I can't figure out where the loss of power/clanking sound is coming from.

check your timing to make sure everything is timed correctly!

Have you checked the Water pump just a suggestion ive had a bearing come out of a pump before and make Awful noise.

+1 especially since you found a puddle of coolant. It's all tied in to timing belt.

true if your leakin coolant, check all areas that coolant flow threw, thermostat housing, water pipe hoses,water pump an what not.

Ok I'll check water pump and timing today and update you guys

water pump is fine but the timing is off with the oil pump. would that really affect the car that much?

How is the timing belt tied into the water pump? The water pump has no effect if the timing is off on the car or not.

And as far as your compression, I would look into that 130 a little more as it seems to be a little low compared to the rest. Also get that oil pump timed if you still have balance shafts whether or not its causing this it needs to be timed.
