loose shifter

just bought a 95 gsx 5spd with a 6-bolt and the shifter seems a little loose, the guy i bought it from said it was a washer that needed to be put in there, it goes into gear and everything but i just don't want it as loose as it is. Anybody know what part i'm looking for, i hav caps but i'm not quite sure what the part looks like.

you can tighten it up with shifter bushings and/or the underhood cable bushing that are normaly found in the classifyed for like $20
