Well I currently have a turbonetics 50 trim journal bearing on my car. And am selling it tomorrow. Along with the turbonetics evolution wastegate. Now my question is I have been looking at a new setup but am unsure which way to go. After I sell the turbo I Will have enough to purchase the PTE 5031RE BB 50 Trim. and a new tail wastegate. But would have no money left over for cams. Should I go with a evo 16g and buy some camshafts? and maybe some other items? I already have dsmlink and 680cc injectors along with a 2g maf. Or go ahead and get the pte along purchase cams later.

I personally have experience with the PTE 5031RE BB as I am using it right now. As per all the reviews I have read, this turbo hits like the evo 16g but rather dying out it pulls hard all the way to redline. I haven't taken my car to the track yet because I am still having some tunning problems with the GM MAFT and DSMlink. Both turbos are pump gas killers and I guess it comes to a good tune.

Moreover, getting the cams later on with the PTE 5031RE would be a deadly combination as I am right now in the process of picking cams up for myself as well. I did a lot of research when I was upgrading my car with the help of member from this site we both came to a decision that 5031RE long term would be a better choice. With the evo 16g, sure its fast but you would get tired of it really fast. I know a guy on this board who ran the evo 16g for a year or so and now has upgraded to FP3065. Maybe there is a little bias in my reply towards the 5031RE because I have one but I did do a lot of reading and concluded that it would be a better choice in the long run.

Hope that helps and good luck!!
