hey guys short notice i know but me and and a couple of friends are going to nicks on friday jan.15th aka tomorrow so if anyone wants to stop by for a couple rounds stop on by

i know its a long ways away and things might change but i heard that the dsm shootout 2010 is on august 14 and 15th this year..... i'm thinking i might take the 26 hour drive down to norwalk for it and wondering if there is any vague interest in anyone else going down with me, in their dsm of course

haha I was actually really thinking about this too. My friend drove to arizona and said that gas is like 68cents a liter in most places so it would be cheaper to drive than I had been thinking.

i was thinking it would be a nice birthday present for me my birthday is on august 13th..... so i was thinking leaving the 12th and being back on the 17th

Haha yeah, I was done the build in late july. Right now the car is in storage, and I am just planning out a few repairs that I missed during the build.

God damn driveshaft....

And the build continues. Scott and I are going to be putting the crank into my 6bolt today. Hope all goes well. still a little concerned about my oil pump, and not knowing if it's still good or not.

Where would I get a single valve seal? is Mitsu the only place?

SO I come into regina to finish pulling apart my blown 7 bolt, and i completely forget my tools. As far as progress on the saftey, im getting one instructor here at the school to look the car over for me to see what will fail a legit saftey at this point. Let the summer check list begin!

Hey Scott, I finally talked to Dean about that engine. Still interested in a 6-bolt core?

yea man I am. I think im going to need the whole short block tho. I dont want to have to buy a new crank JUST yet. I don't plan on making enough power out of that motor to need forged bottom end.

And I think we should get another meet going! Pool at nicks again. Seems we have a few new faces that we need to get out there. Whose in? start the list

Hmm, ok. So do you want an engine with a head, or just a short block? Dean and I picked up another parts car, so we have one that needs a rebuild. Block, crank, rods, pistons, head, cams for $200. I dont think dean wants to get rid of the turbo though, and he might want to keep the intake manifold too, not sure I would have to ask.

We were thinking around $200, hows that sound? We can talk more about it over a round of pool at nicks?

I dunno about opening, might be a bit to soon to get a tune into the car... We will see once the snow is finally gone.
