Looking for Ideas on New Rims

I'm looking to get a new set of rims this spring when my car comes out of hibernation. Ill be picking up a set of Tein SS coil overs from a friend in a few weeks to give it a little drop.

Here's how its sits a year or so ago, the only thing appearance wise I have changed is a CF hood and blacked out my tails and side markers.

Right now the rims are 18x8 Kyowa 626 with Nankang Ns2 tires.

I want to keep 18's but maybe something not so open, have been looking at XXR 522's or something along that line (probably in black), but I need to keep the room for a big break upgrade in the near future as well. Just looking to see what you guys thing would match with it nicely. Thanks!

I think the 521s are a no-go. You have the clean look going, the bolt heads around the rims I don't think would work good. I like the 522s better but think the Motegi MR7s look cleaner (seven spoke are my favorite). I prefer staggered spokes and odd number spokes, but that might be OCD.

IM Not the greatest at photo shop yet but I hope it will give you an idea.
the orientation is a little off because I use the big photo from the links you attached. and they were not straight on shots if the rim.

Im having the same issue! I have a set of Sparcos on my car now, and Im looking at rota grids, Motegi 125s, xxr 527s, and the 522s! I cant decide! Out of the options you left, I like the 522s!

personally I am not a fan of the universal patterns. I love how the xxr rims look but all the nice ones are universal.

Do think that something like this would look pretty nice if it's flat or semi-flat dark gray with different center caps. Maybe have a shiny red pinstripe line down each of the spokes.

522's, I like fewer spokes and I like how the spokes go to the lip, it will make them appear larger than they are. Love the black on red, looks sharp!

I almost want to say keep it how it is due to the fact your car looks clean with the current setup. That being said if it was up to me, I would go with the 522's because they are most definitely a slick rim.

XXRs are to played out. Find something rare or old and rock a different look.

Or save your money for something else and keep you current setup.

Since you're asking for opinions... I've always thought meshies looked goofy on a DSM. I do like those 522's though. They're very reminiscent of the Enkei SR6 that I run, with an extra spoke.
