i know the 1g n/t motors come with a 60 mm throttle body, and im trying to find a bigger one at least 65mm, anyone know where i can get one?

I've heard of people re-sleeving them. The part that you connect your intake to. That gets cut off and a bigger on gets put on then its ported to match the new size. Just a thought. It would also look stock

actually there have been pretty good gains with 62mm. 63 is pushing it and usually after that the power just starts dropping. It's important to free up everything else and get air movin in fast and out fast before thinking about boring out the TB.

:thumb: also worrying about having the intake manifold port matched so that the throttle body can be used to its full potential

exactly. If you are going to have something ported then make everything in its path or leading up to it the same. Not necessarily the same size but adequet enough to not have a bottle kneck. We all know that bottle knecks are very bad. If you dont have an intake...get one....if you dont have exhaust...get some. When you decide to make the TB bigger then you might as well decide to make the intake mani, exhaust mani/header, head flow better....or you will just be stuck with another bottle kneck ;)

i have an intake, headers, exhaust, and a short shifter to help out, how do i get more power on top of that, im not saying anything huge, just some more power, period.

try making you intake into a CAI.....(put the filter in the fender well)...or you could go to punishment racing and get their GM MAF-T and a 3.5" GM MAF. That will help out your flow tremendously and you can run a pipe to a filter ANYWHERE. Get turbo cams atleast or better cams like HKS. You could also up your compression with some higher compression pistons. You could port & polish everything that you can. After you get ALL of that accomplished then watch your fuel and you might be able to upgrade your fuel system. My friend (streetsleeper) has enough mods where he is serously maxing out his stock fuel system so despite what everyone says...it can be done naturally aspirated. Your next mod should be a GM Maf-T. They free up soo much air and you can tune with them. I would also think about getting a Datalogger to watch your fuel trims and timing. You could play around with your timing advance to gain a little more power.

thanks man, if i need some more advice can i pm u? and u said punishment racing. is that a .com?

You can be the judge of that. The Translator is 199. You can pick up a 3.5 or 3" Gm Maf on ebay or a junkyard for pretty cheap but im sure they give you a brand new one. The also give you an intake and a high-flow filter. If you already have an intake then just use yours and put the GM-Maf right where your air can is now then run an extension down into your fender. You could always make an entire intake any way you want it to be. The GM - Maf can be out anywhere in your intake track but do it closer to the TB.
